Store in the original packaging in order to protect from light and moisture. This medicine does not require any special temperature storage conditions. Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children
Taking RYBELSUS® on an empty stomach is important, as any kind of food, beverage, or oral medication may reduce the amount of RYBELSUS® entering your blood stream and therefore not be as effective. This is why it is recommended to wait at least 30 minutes after taking RYBELSUS® before having any food, drink or taking any other oral medicine
No. The effectiveness of RYBELSUS® has not been studied with any other type of drink
RYBELSUS® may not work properly if you eat, drink, or take other oral medication within 30 minutes after taking RYBELSUS®
Tell your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicine to see if they are okay to take with RYBELSUS®. Refer to the RYBELSUS® Patient Information Leaflet↗ for specific information, in particular if you are using medicines containing levothyroxine which is used for thyroid disease, warfarin or similar medicines taken by mouth to reduce blood clotting (oral anti-coagulants) or insulin
Low blood sugar (hypoglycaemia) can occur with RYBELSUS® particularly if you are taking any blood sugar-lowering medications, like insulin and/or sulfonylureas. Signs and symptoms of hypoglycaemia may include: cold sweats, headache, fast heartbeat, feeling sick and/or hungry, dizziness, feeling sleepy and/or weak, nervousness and shaking
If you think you are experiencing hypoglycaemia while taking RYBELSUS®, contact your doctor or nurse for advice
If you forgot to take a dose, the missed dose should be skipped. The next dose should be taken the following day. Do not take a double-dose
It’s important to get into a routine and take RYBELSUS® on an empty stomach, upon waking, but it does not need to be at the same time every day
Yes, RYBELSUS® contains 23 mg sodium (main component of cooking/table salt) in each tablet. This is equivalent to 1% of the recommended maximum daily dietary intake of sodium for an adult.
